Monkey at Bukit Malawati, Kuala Selangor,
Malaysia.
The silver leaf monkey are Bukit Malawati's most popular attraction ; originating from the surrounding mangrove forests below, the monkeys have become accustomed with constant handouts and feedings from tourists. With silver grey complexion and cranial fur forming a Mohican-like crest, the silver leaf monkeys (also called langurs') are the gentle but shy primate by nature. Yet, the exposure to people have made the monkey tame and unafraid of hopping on the shoulders of unsuspecting visitors to perch there nonchalantly. When not being fed, the monkeys are content sitting quietly among the trees, along railings and around park benches, staring listless into space.
